Christy Zweig has a long history of involvement with management consulting and the A/E/P and environmental industry. She has held a number of roles at Zweig Group, including writing and researching for The Zweig Letter, CE News, Structural Engineer, and the new civil + structural ENGINEER magazine. Christy performed extensive primary and secondary research including surveys and interviews to author the 2012 and 2013 A/E/P and Environmental Consulting Industry Outlook, giving her an intense understanding of the internal and external forces acting on the industry.
Christy currently is Zweig Group’s Director of Marketing and has experience consulting in the areas of marketing and strategic planning. She will be participating on the Young Professionals Track – Millennial panel alongside her colleague Jamie Claire Kiser, Zweig Group’s Director of Consulting.
Christy also has worked at The Sustainability Consortium, was a licensed real estate agent in Arkansas, and runs her own horse boarding and training operation. She holds a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Pehlivan is a geotechnical engineer specializing in earthquake engineering. She is currently working as a geotechnical engineer with CH2M in Seattle, WA. Dr. Pehlivan specializes in the analysis of seismic site response, soil-foundation-structure interaction, probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA), and the seismic design of foundation of structures. She was inspired to build more resilient communities and reduce the risk associated with the earthquakes following the 1999 Kocaeli Earthquake that hit Turkey.
Upon completing her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, she continued her graduate studies specializing in geotechnical earthquake engineering. She obtained her doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2013 and started working as a consulting engineer in New York City, where she had opportunity to work on seismic design of projects in the US, Mexico, and Canada. During this time she also served as an Adjunct Professor at Manhattan College where she developed and taught seismic portion of a graduate course for practicing engineers on fundamentals of foundation design.
