Chris has over 28 years’ experience in the employee benefits business in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1987, Chris began his career as a small group managing general agent, representing several carriers. His clients were brokers throughout Arkansas, and it was a great experience for him as a young man to learn the health insurance and employee benefits business and to operate as a small business owner.
In 2001, Chris left the MGA side of the business and became an independent broker, specializing primarily in small group and individual life insurance. As the business grew, he became more involved in working with larger clients. In 2010, Chris purchased Cornerstone Insurance Group and merged this block of business in with his agency. In March of 2015, Chris and Cornerstone Insurance Group became merger partners with Gallagher Benefit Services. Chris and his team are very excited to be part of the Gallagher family and look forward to continued business growth and providing the best possible service for our clients.
On a personal note, Chris has 2 daughters, Rachel (age 23) and Laura (age 18) and currently resides in Maumelle, AR. Chris enjoys playing music in a band, hunting, fishing, cycling, and being involved in church and community activities.

Dr. Pehlivan is a geotechnical engineer specializing in earthquake engineering. She is currently working as a geotechnical engineer with CH2M in Seattle, WA. Dr. Pehlivan specializes in the analysis of seismic site response, soil-foundation-structure interaction, probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA), and the seismic design of foundation of structures. She was inspired to build more resilient communities and reduce the risk associated with the earthquakes following the 1999 Kocaeli Earthquake that hit Turkey.
Upon completing her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, she continued her graduate studies specializing in geotechnical earthquake engineering. She obtained her doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2013 and started working as a consulting engineer in New York City, where she had opportunity to work on seismic design of projects in the US, Mexico, and Canada. During this time she also served as an Adjunct Professor at Manhattan College where she developed and taught seismic portion of a graduate course for practicing engineers on fundamentals of foundation design.
